The Chronicles of Nani On Video

I am overcoming my inability to type with my ability to talk (and talk and talk and talk) I'll be posting a video every week on my YouTube channel. I'll be posting those videos here too along with an occasional regular blog in the mix. (As long as my hands are up to doing the extra typing.)

You'll be able to watch the videos here, but I encourage you to stop by my channel at YouTube once I'm up and running to follow me and get my numbers started!

Happy Opening Day!

Happy Opening Day to all the Baseball fans! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year! The long winter is over and spring is really, really, here!

I’d started writing this post and got off on a tangent! I’ll probably finish it and file it away into my personal archives. There is so much wrong with the Major League Baseball front office, but under all the muck, it’s still Baseball and this is still the real start of the season!

For anyone who hasn’t heard my belief on the matter, the Cincinnati Reds are the oldest professional baseball team and traditionally they start every season at home and they are the first game. Messing with tradition in the schedule doesn’t change the spiritual open of the season! So while, like a Christmas party in the beginning of December is still Christmas, there may be baseball events that count in the stats before, but the actual Opening Moment is today at 4:05 Eastern Daylight Time when the ump yells “PLAY BALL” in Cincinnati. Now, the Tigers game at 1:05 is just like wishing me “Happy Birthday” at 6AM on July 29. It’s still my birthday even though my birth moment isn’t until 7:45. I may celebrate for a week, but the Actual day is July 29. Just like we may have started celebrating the 2012 season earlier, but today is the actual Opening Day of the 2012 baseball season!

You may have seen my Tweet lamenting scheduling that starts the year with our family rivalry. Kaline and Carla are already moving their respective blankets away from each other on the upstairs bed. We’ll see which one for the humans sleeps on the couch tonight. ;) And I apologize, without much sincerity, to Edna and Seamhead Gypsy.

Go Tigers!
Go Reds!

Grrrrr....grumble.....grumble....snort...grumble....sigh..At least the Red Sox showed some life late in the game. And it was an outstanding game from a pitching standpoint. I watched the Reds afterward then watched the final 6 innings of the Indians/Jays. Then when that ended most of the Dodgers/Padres game.

Pretty good holiday this year despite the Red Sox losing their opener.

I like winning, but win or lose, I'll stick with my Red Sox. With all the "off" days that I have, I can forgive them for theirs. Besides, it'e early in the season! You have a fabulous day, hugs, Edna B.
