The Chronicles of Nani On Video

I am overcoming my inability to type with my ability to talk (and talk and talk and talk) I'll be posting a video every week on my YouTube channel. I'll be posting those videos here too along with an occasional regular blog in the mix. (As long as my hands are up to doing the extra typing.)

You'll be able to watch the videos here, but I encourage you to stop by my channel at YouTube once I'm up and running to follow me and get my numbers started!

Vintage Thingie Thursday – Ration Coupons

I’ve said before that I love vintage paper things! These ration books belonged to my great-grandparents.

I’m going to dome more research and find out how the ration coupons were used. I just can’t imagine…

See more antique finds at The Coloradolady’s Vintage Thingie Thursday!

My folks used ration coupons during WW2. I was too young to remember, but I have a few of them in some things that my mom left me. Have a good day.

I remember those days. That is a great collection from that time frame. I did not know you could still find them in this condition.

I remember them too. We used them during the war when I was a little girl. What a great treasure! Sounds funny, but growing up back then was the best time to be growing up here.

My cold is beginning to wane (I think). You have a grand night, hugs, Edna B.

I guess I'm not that old....don't remember rations coupons, but do remember only being aloud to gas up on certain days. If this country went to rations today I think we'd see riots in the streets

You are holding American history in your hands. How amazing. I've heard my older relatives talk about ration cards for this and that. I don't remember ever seeing one. Enjoy your adventure(s) to learn more about them.
